A room of many embellishments. The floor of teakwood is patterned after that in the Salon of Louis XIII and the Grand Vestibule in the Palace of Fontainbleau, France. The rug is a Persian, with red tones predominating. Panelled wainscoting and ceiling are of English oak; walls are of tinted Keene cement plaster. Scarlet red and gold Italian damask is draped at the windows. Furnishings are in oak, the massive table in antique finish being hand-carved. The whole proportions of the room are the same as those used by Palladio during the Renaissance in Italy.
