Kirby Memorial Health Center Environmental Laboratory began as a public health laboratory in the 1930’s. The laboratory became involved in environmental testing in the 1970’s when environmental issues became prominent. The laboratory analyzes drinking water, municipal and industrial wastewater, soil, sludge, and solid waste for various microbiological, inorganic and organic parameters. Our client base consists of local, state, and federal agencies, engineering firms, environmental consulting firms, financial institutions, industries, and private individuals.
The laboratory is fully equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation that is continually updated to stay current with the latest technology. Some of these include:

The Kirby Health Center Laboratory is accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) for the analysis of drinking water, non-potable water, and solid waste.
